Aiming to narrate the human reproduction process from a sweet and natural perspective, the book also talks about the close relationship between humans and nature.

The story unfolds through the different seasons of the year in order to make the young readers aware of the long time-frame that the reproduction and pregnancy process might take. The four seasons are personified through a young woman and are used to talk about weather changes and seasonal food, and also the behaviour of plants and animals.
