This book is an adaptation of the classic tale written by Hans Christian Andersen, published in 1837, which tells the story of an emperor obsessed by showing his power through abundance and appearance. The book shows in a convincing way, the social prejudices of society: only a child is capable of saying what he thinks without fearing what others will say. It also reflects on vanity, using the Kings excessive desire for being noticed and praised, and hypocrisy through the characters of the Ministers, who only say what their King wants to hear.
